Better is Better
One day of class, one more day to finish out the work week here on Zombie time. I think I live a whole lot of my life doing Zombie time: this week spent sitting in a chair in front of a computer following the in's and out's of something called the XP operating system; a break in the morning for a stretch; a break in the afternoon for a stretch; and time during lunch to go outside and shoot pictures on the street in preparation for my photography class this coming Monday. They aren't very good, these photographs I've been taking, and given my Zombie attitude I understand why.

And so?

And so it goes, here in Oakland. Still, here I sit at the computer this evening futzing around with various piles of paper, piles of pictures, sheets of negatives, looking for something to scan for today's photograph. Futzing around is a positive sign in Zombie time, a sign of interest, a sign of energy, a sign of, well, something better. Better is better.

The banner photograph was taken on the sidewalk outside the Palace Hotel on New Montgomery Street with a Nikon D2h mounted with a 135mm f 2.0 Nikkor lens at ISO 200.
