We Shall Persevere

Sunday. I awoke after ten this morning with a bit of a headache having consumed more sake than I should have last night. Not a lot of concern, but we'll keep a closer less jocular eye on our sake habits for the while just to be sure we're not totally missing something we shouldn't. Be missing.

Oh?

I couldn't find the flask and small cup I'd been using last night and finally figured out I'd washed them and put them back up in the cupboard. Which I don't remember doing. Not good not to remember is my thought although it was done at the very end of the evening. Still.

We are feeling relatively civilized at the moment after a much later breakfast at the usual place. Although there was an interesting thunderstorm with lots of lighting last night, the clouds are letting the sun through at the moment and we are ready for whatever, but forgetting things from the night before is a sign. Subtle or not, a sign is a sign, and we shall keep it in mind.

Later. A slow day. A walk just down the way to the local convenience store for a pint of ice cream (lunch and dinner), otherwise lying on the bed listening to the radio. Such is life and the effects of sake consumed wholesale the evening before. Or the morning before or the afternoon before. An equal opportunity affliction. We shall recover. We shall persevere. We shall be less flippant in the future.

The photograph was taken at a benefit concert at the Starry Plough in Berkeley with a Nikon D3s mounted with a 24 - 120mm f 4.0 Nikkor VR lens.
