Would Ask

Tuesday. And indeed to bed early, lights out reasonably early and to sleep to awaken briefly but once (I think it was only once) to get up not long after six and listen to Democracy Now on the radio as I got ready to head out and walk to breakfast, the temperature out there brisk, the sky clear. Fall weather. Where have you been fall weather?

Again, a walk to breakfast and back wearing a long sleeved shirt and a medium weight jacket, the sun bright on the way home, the nip in the air and the leaves on the sidewalk reminding me, seemingly for the first time, we've entered into the fall. A rear end accident at the 580 exit at MacArthur at Grand, occurring while I was at breakfast, and so naturally a couple of pictures.

A haircut appointment at eleven and so we'll catch the bus and take Latham Square pictures after the appointment, unless the appointment ends before the bus it due at eleven-thirty and we're able to catch it home. Shot Latham Square pictures yesterday, no need to take them two days in a row.

Later. A bus to Latham Square and a set of pictures, finishing with plenty of time to reach my haircut appointment in time. Clipped and trimmed, a walk along Broadway to the ATM and then on to the 7-11 look-alike for an ice cream bar before taking the apartment house construction site pictures. Home by noon.

To spend the time catching up on my usual web news sites. I'd taken a bath before heading out to the haircut appointment and so hadn't had time to surf the web this morning as I usually do.

Sunny, cool, really nice weather with the balcony door wide open to the screen. No thought to go out again, although the nearby burger place down the street on Grand has now finally reopened after what is now ten months since the fire in their kitchen closed them down. Ten months? A story there, no doubt.

Evening. The day has slipped into an early trip to bed after an afternoon of not spending enough time on processing today's pictures and too much time on the tablet watching this and that. Burned out on tablet, television, writing this and processing photographs. Not sure if that's success or failure or if that's a question anyone with their head on straight would ask.

The photo up top was taken at the Dias de los Muertos celebration at the Oakland Museum of California with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
