This Morning

Monday. To bed early, lights out early and to sleep relatively early, although the morning turned into something a little different. Awake finally at seven to feel a bout of diarrhea coming on and so breaking routine, quickly putting on clothes and going downstairs to the laundry room to use the laundry room bathroom as my toilet was all stopped up from the late afternoon before. Not something I want to go on about, but the bottom line was - a long night's sleep or not - the system was out of whack and I was feeling crappy with a bathroom that was indeed crappy and the day was not starting well.

OK, somewhat recovered. The landlord was able to bring by the plumber at nine to take care of the toilet and I was able to drive to breakfast soon after to have an unusually large breakfast as, I suspect, my entire alimentary canal was empty.

OK, back to the apartment to lie down and doze for an hour, still feeling, well, slow, unwell, but not necessarily sick as with a cold. Realized in throwing my routine off this morning I'd forgotten to take the day's meds, so took the meds at noon and finally started feeling a little better, not sure through all this if if I didn't want to set out for lunch. Not something I usually do, get hungry so quickly, but then again, perhaps the body is realizing it's empty. Really empty.

Probably enough of this particular topic.

I think the day may be shot for errands and photographs, but we've got another month to get things done starting tomorrow and a day late doesn't necessarily mean we're a dollar short. Oh, overcast and cold, by the way, with a couple of rain drops when driving back from breakfast. The weather has started its day in kind.

Later. Woozy for the rest of the day is the best way to describe it. Woozy with a sensitive alimentary canal leading to getting nothing done in between stints of lying down and skating along at the edge of napping. Not sick, no runny nose or fevers, just, you know, woozy and without power.

Evening. I did get in an hour's sleep earlier in the afternoon, feel better, but still at about half speed. Half what our usual speed has been lately is close to no speed at all. We'll get to bed early, turn out the lights early and start tomorrow as we'd have liked to have started this morning.

The photo up top was taken at the Climate March Demonstration at Oakland City Hall with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
