Soon

Wednesday. Not a bad night. I don't think. Awoke at five minutes to six to catch the end of the five minute KPFA news and the fractured beginning of Democracy Now!, checking the window to see what the rain situation was like and not finding any. Rain. And so a walk to breakfast.

The corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast (lower on the scale this morning), not sign of rain when I set out for home before nine. Overcast, yes, but again, no rain and so the usual set of pictures.

I'd passed by rows of scooters walking to breakfast, they don't seem to be going away, although they're finding more than a few in Lake Merritt from what the people on the neighborhood NextDoor web site are saying and found the usual groups below the school at various places on the sidewalk and on Grand. So not much has changed after ten short days away in Portland.

Need to get a Protime blood thinner test along with some other test run at the lab later, maybe put it off until tomorrow if the weather too bad, otherwise we seem to be stuck here in the apartment due to the weather.

And the laundry?

Let's not juggle too many tasks at one time.

Later. The sun came out and so a bus to the Broadway ATM and then on to the lab to find the lipid panel required fasting, the instruction sheet not mentioning the fact. OK, had the blood drawn for the Protime blood thinner test, we'll return another time for the additional tests and write it off as a good reason to get outside for a walk. I'd wondered, even thought of calling the doctor's office to check, but such is life I guess.

A walk back to Grand to catch the bus home, no thought to stop to pick something up. We're still watching the diet.

Evening. Finished the Wild Arts Festival pictures to finish out the rest of the afternoon. Nothing on the PBS stations, as all of them seem to be in a never ending push to raise money, using concerts and specials that somehow don't interest me at all. To bed early again, the Underground Weather site saying the rain storm is arriving soon.

The photograph was taken at the Portland Wild Arts Festival November 18th with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24 - 120mm f 4.0 Nikkor VR lens.
