News

Friday To sleep not long after ten. Good. Awoke briefly at five and then at six-thirty to get up and walk to breakfast on a clear, but cold, soon be sunny day. Colder than it's been for a while (a long while) to arrive at the morning restaurant on time and settle in with the papers.

Ordered the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit up and coffee, the coffee hot and much appreciated, finishing up after nine to walk home and find fewer pictures as these cold days now accumulate. Maybe better if I go to breakfast later in the mornings.

Home to take the selfie, finish and post yesterday's entry, process the pictures and then lie down for an hour listening to the radio before starting on writing this well after noon. The new norm I guess.

Later. Did nothing this afternoon other than watch stuff on the tablet and to listen to the news. Well, some of the news, too much is too depressing.

Evening. Watched Inspector Morse without complaining. Expected to turn it off after determining what episode was playing, but realized I hadn't seen it before and it unexpectedly caught my interest. A rather far fetched plot, but well done and without too much of Mr. Morse's crankiness to set off my own cranky reaction. To bed then with lights out after the six minute ten o'clock news.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Oakland Chinatown StreetFest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens..
