This Is Good
Saturday. One of the markers I use to judge my mental health is what my apartment looks like, how often I clean the tub, clean the bedroom, dust the computers, dust the picture frames, dust Ms. Emmy. Based on this judgement I cannot say I've been doing well. To work, to journal, to photographs: little else. Last weekend I cleaned the bedroom, spent an afternoon. A sign of progress in a time of no signs; a flicker of regeneration, perhaps, but who knows? Today I spent the afternoon finishing the job. Well, today, this afternoon, I made more progress. This is good. Here in Oakland.
