Prime

Friday. I did awake at five-thirty this morning, but instead of half dozing off and then starting to get ready to head out to breakfast, I dozed off until six-thirty and so had to get things together more quickly, setting out at seven. No big deal, the light brighter, the eyes watering, the skies clear.

Ended up ordering the avocado cheese omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast and waded through the papers. KPFA had been live broadcasting the Kavanaugh hearings and so looked at, but didn't really read any of the Kavanaugh stories. They're going to confirm his nomination to the Supreme Court, of course, no need to listen to the divorced from reality descriptions of the matter.

Headed home at eight-fifty under a bright sun to take the usual sidewalk pictures, find a now shriveled flower below the school and take the nine-hundredth photograph of a group of scooters sitting on the sidewalk. Again, it does keep me amused, but it also makes me wonder what kind of bullshit I'm selling myself on these daily walks to and from breakfast with a camera.

I think we've run out of gas here.

Not so bad otherwise. I did test the phone by calling my sister last night, the call going through without a hitch and, more importantly, the phone itself zipping along without the delays it was experiencing with the failing battery the in the past. We'll see how the NextBus app performs later as we need to go by an ATM.

Later. Interesting, a bus to the ATM on Broadway, the head unusually clear, no sign of the fuzzy lightheaded stuff with energy to spare and so decided to skip the bus and walk home at a decent pace. Certainly feeling better than after my walk home from breakfast this morning. Now if I could only make that happen more often....

Later still. A lie down on the bed to sleep for a good hour. Guess I didn't get enough sleep last night, but refreshing.

A bath while listening to the PBS Newshour and little else through the rest of the afternoon. The blood pressure seems to be behaving, nothing to freak out about there, and so watched one or two things on the tablet, followed along with more news on television and that's been the afternoon.

Evening. Writing this again the next morning, trying to remember what I did last night before getting to bed with lights out by nine. Didn't spend much time on the tablet, nothing really holding my attention in either Netflix or Prime.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Fruitvale Dia de los Muertos Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens
