Past

Sunday. Lights out early not long after nine to awaken at six-twenty. Good. Up to take the blood pressure - 119/69 - having taken the med early yesterday at noon, thinking I'd move it back to taking it with all the others first thing in the mornings. So I included it with this morning's meds and we are now back to where we were before all these off the wall readings began.

Out the door to drive to breakfast at seven, arriving just after the early morning kitchen worker had entered the building and so sat and began wading through the papers. A how to prepare for an earthquake (fire etc.) section in the Chronicle caught my interest and so I've just downloaded it from their web site. Will I prepare? At least take care of some of the heavy book cases and such I have against all the walls? Probably not, but I should. It is coming, the question is before or after I'm gone? Flip a coin. Found dead after a camera flew across the room and bounced off his head.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries and coffee for breakfast, the weight one pound over the target his morning, but that was what appealed. We no longer seem to have trouble keeping it in line.

Finished before nine, took but one picture of the empty sidewalk on the way to the car and then home, skipping the supermarket again. They keep sending me emails about home delivery with a first time order discount, but I'm holding out. So far.

The blood pressure 112/69 when I got home. We'll check in another two hours, see what it is when the med I took this morning kicks in, but I think we've got it solved.

Sunny, clear skies, warm. Let's see what this Sunday may hold.

Later. Another ocular incident. To bed and to sleep for over an hour, another hour to get the head back to wherever it is when I say it's behaving. Sort of behaving. Not a good way to start and afternoon.

Evening. Skipped the two Elementary episodes that started at five. I think I've seen enough of them now and don't really need to see any of the older ones again. The day has indeed gone at half speed, no thought to go outside, some time on the tablet, some time watching television. Not that I've ever wasted an afternoon or evening like this in the past, you understand.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Fruitvale Dia de los Muertos Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens
