Art & Life

Ledger

Wednesday. Not sure when I turned the lights out last night, but early enough to awaken at a quarter past six, listening to (what else?) Democracy Now! as I prepared to set out walking to breakfast in a light winter coat on a dark, clear skies, somewhat cool morning. Arrived at seven, the restaurant open, the day ahead.

Ordered the waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries (with butter and syrup this time), fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. We'll skip the butter and syrup for the future. Read the papers and finished up at a quarter to nine, the sun now shining, but not so warm as to make the light winter jacket uncomfortable. The usual set of pictures.

Let's see if I make that eye exam appointment later.

Later. Forgot about the eye exam appointment and so didn't call until the office had closed, but it's sitting on the phone ready to call again and so it will indeed get done in the morning. Really. Pretty sure.

A walk to the lake to stand and think about art and life for a while, deciding finally I didn't want to go farther or go by the burger drive-in to pick up a grilled chicken sandwich and so returned to the apartment. So much for going outdoors. The weather site says it reached seventy degrees today and that seems to be more than warm enough for t-shirt weather. Has it always been so or am I getting more sensitive to the heat? Probably not, but the fan has been going all afternoon.

Reinstalled the old two versions earlier of Lightroom and now it's once again able to load photographs from the external hard drives. No one else, from what I've seen on the troubleshooting blogs, seems to be having this problem. Nice to have Lightroom back, though, even if having it means paying to put half their employees’ kids through college.

Moan, groan.

Evening. The fuzzy head has been behaving through the day, which is nice. Not so fuzzy, the vision behaving. Make a mark on the good side of the ledger.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 Peoples Republic of China 66th anniversary celebration at Oakland City Hall with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
