Do It Again
Saturday. Crappy week starting Monday night with the onset of the flu. Nothing too terrible, but the flu: the brain not able or willing to concentrate; sleep spottier than you'd like; two days at home on Tuesday and Wednesday; back to work on Thursday and Friday, but cutting both days short to go home and crawl into bed. Today not terrible, but no question of joining the usual crew in Concord after work on Friday for Guinness and frivolous intent. The flu does not lend itself to frivolous intent. I was hoping to feel well enough to check out something called “The Love Parade” late this morning in San Francisco, but no dice. You know I'm not feeling well when I'm not up for shooting something called a “Love Parade”; something related to electronic music they're saying, but a “Love Parade” none the less.

I've run the photograph before - attractive young lady and all of that - but I ran across it on the hard drive at about the same time I was thinking of making this journal page wider so I could run a larger photograph. I like larger photographs. Not sure I'll do it again.

The photograph was taken at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D2x mounted with a 70-200 f 2.8 Nikkor VR lens at 1/100th second at f 5.6 at ISO 100.
