And All That

Monday. A long day yesterday, a day like it will slow you down as it draws to a close. Did with me anyway. I suspect there will be more time spent this morning recuperating, going out later in the afternoon to shoot some more pictures for my lake project, but otherwise it's take a nap and guitar. I need to catch up today on the guitar. I do.

Still, up with the alarm, out and back from breakfast at the usual place, home now before eight to reread and glue together changes needed in yesterday's entry before posting. These “slow days” affect everything, the writing becomes less comprehensible, less clear. What was it I was getting at again? But what the hell, that's the way it seems to work. Hup, hup We'll work with it (and bitch).

Later. I am indeed tired. Setting up the Solano pages for artandlife requires, for certain page transitions, keeping a somewhat complicated series of numbers in your head and I was sitting here making mistakes I wouldn't normally make, realizing finally it was time for a nap. An hour's nap. Much better. More time yet to spend in Photoshop and in finishing the pages, there will indeed be three sections, some sixty plus pictures. First take the time to head out for lunch though, get some air, take a break.

Later still. A bus downtown, coffee and a raspberry shortcake cookie at the Rotunda building (I told you they were really good, a lot better than what they call a latté), a walk then over to Rite Aid for a necessary item before heading down Broadway on the way back home. A bus arrived when I got to Grand, which was good, I wasn't looking forward to walking any farther, back to the apartment now for what I suspect will be another nap. Keep our priorities straight. I'm still half fried.

Evening. OK, Solano is done and posted on artandlife. Takes some time, it does. It's now five in the afternoon, we'll see now how the guitar goes. If I'd really been serious I'd have spaced the work on Solano with half hour sessions on the guitar, but I'm obviously not serious, either that or I'm run down enough at the moment to do little other than sit at this computer and push the little keys. Hup, hup. And all that.

The photograph was taken at the Oakland Pride festival a week ago Sunday with a Nikon D3s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR II lens using a 1.4x teleconverter.
