I Guess

Wednesday. Lights out by ten, maybe earlier, and getting what seems to have been a decent night's sleep. Up a couple of times, yes, reminding myself not to drink so many liquids before retiring. The days have been warm and I've been drinking some of the Diet Coke and probably too much water, more not thinking than doing it on purpose. Hydration, the current carrying a water bottle explosion, has never been a concern.

Anyway, up and out the door to notice it was almost seven and there was one person waiting on the bus across Grand, so across Grand and then the bus to the morning restaurant. Don't like waiting for any extended period for a bus to arrive, but waited I did this morning.

A couple of pictures on the way home as they were unloading pallets at the apartment house construction site. (Why carry a camera if you don't take at least one picture now and again?)

The day overcast, looking serious, not sure if the sun will come out sooner, later or never. The day has started reasonably well and I'm looking forward to whatever's coming, particularly after checking the bank account and discovering the insurance people had indeed wired the sum they'd quoted. A sign of the times, but a good sign of the times. That does happen sometimes....

Best you stop and rest you little head before you totally flame out.

Later. A walk over to the apartment house construction site at noon to take pictures, the sun breaking through and the sky clearing. Thought about a tuna fish sandwich down at Coffee With A Beat at one of their sidewalk tables, but couldn't talk myself into it.

Back to the apartment to process today's pictures and continue where I'd left off processing yesterday's photographs. Not sure what happened with the D2Xs images at the Latham construction site, but the color and exposure are weird. My fault, I'm sure, but not good if you don't figure it out to make sure it doesn't happen again. He said.

But you haven't.

Not yet.

Another afternoon ahead. Don't want to go downtown, but since there's a prescription refill that will be ready to be picked up tomorrow, I'll use it as an excuse to put off Latham Square until then.

Later still. No thought to start, let alone make progress putting together another apartment house section for the web. What can I say but: ambition zero, Netflix one.

Evening. Another Death In Paradise I've seen before. Not a bad day, although it had pretty much petered itself out by the early afternoon. I did finish processing both yesterday's and today's photographs, but that was all there was for the day. Life in the fast lane, if you can call this particular path a fast lane, I guess.

The photo up top was taken at the Oakland Art & Soul Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70mm-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
