Remember

Wednesday. Not sure what happened, but lights out early last night to awaken (I seem to recall) but once and then only briefly, to get up at quarter to seven, what seems a long and decent night's sleep. We're not really having all that much trouble with this sleep business, but we do keep an eye peeled. The two awakenings during the night that now seem to have become habit, something that didn't happen when we were young(er), still seems to result in a good night's rest.

A walk to breakfast, this time in a long sleeved shirt and a light jacket, a briskness in the air much like yesterday's. No complaints. Breakfast and then a walk back to the apartment, no thought to lie down when I got back and attempt a nap. The weight holding on the scale this morning at one fifty-four. New territory here, but we now seem to be holding instead of continuing to lose. Again, the weight feels good, looks good, but this is new territory, territory that makes us look back and wonder why it took so long to make happen.

I need to go by an ATM again, probably take care of it on the way to photograph Latham Square. Still hesitate when it comes to carrying a camera downtown, but less so as time passes. Paranoia up to a point is good, I guess, but we went way too far beyond good after the theft, we'll be more careful (and more relaxed) from here on out. He said.

Later. Now into the upper seventies, not quite the promised twenty degrees cooler than it was last week, but still more comfortable by a mile.

A walk to the Lakeshore ATM, stopping at the bagel shop to have a yogurt thing in a cup and iced coffee on the way home. Should have worn just a t-shirt instead of a t-shirt and long sleeved shirt, but no complaints. Home now to take on one of the construction web sites, put together another section before we sink in embarrassment.

You're not embarrassed.

True. Not quite sure what's happening there, but change seems underway. You know it's going to happen, that it's going to follow through, when you're no longer fighting it. I guess. Sounds good on a Wednesday, a few hours now before the autumn equinox arrives.

Later still. Remembered this is Protime blood thinner test day and so sat down and ran the test. A good result, no problems with error messages, the nurse calling later to say all was well. I did, however, enter reminders into the kitchen calendar above the sink in hopes I'll notice whenever I'm standing two feet in front of it.

And surprise: two sections of Latham Square photographs posted to the web. Another two tomorrow? Best to keep my mouth shut. Didn't take photographs today at either of the construction sites.

Evening. Not a bad day, felt good, the head reasonably clear, the energy up. Nothing on television this night and so maybe we'll heat the tablet up, something I'm usually well into by now. I suspect the time you spend with a tablet isn't the kind of time you'd like to remember when this life all is said and done.

The photo up top was taken today at a bagel shop table on Lakeshore with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
