Gone

Thursday. Lights out before ten to get a pretty good night's sleep, awakening at a quarter to six to then dawdle along while getting up to allow time for the East Bay Times to arrive, setting out with all three papers in tow just after six-thirty on another cool and overcast morning. Nice morning.

The avocado and (light on the) cheese omelet, country potatoes, fruit cup, toast and coffee for breakfast. When's the last time I've had an ocular incident? (Knock on wood in for mentioning it.) Still watch the to be avoided stuff like cheese, this morning aside, but still again, how long has it been?

A long session over the papers before walking back to the apartment, still overcast, but with the very occasional sun beam showing through. Not much in the way of pictures, but such is our life first thing in the morning. Probably best to be happy we get any pictures at all.

Later. Spent the rest of the morning and through the late afternoon finishing the Defend DACA photographs and web pages. We'll get to the Oakland Pride section tomorrow, but what we've done today is enough. More than enough. Makes me wonder if I'm processing these more slowly than I have in the past.

Evening. Well, while listening to Democracy Now in the background I, for some reason, continued processing the Oakland Pride photographs and web pages, finishing them and posting them not long after seven. Thus the day has gone.

The photo up top was taken at the DEFEND DACA! demonstration Saturday in Frank Ogawa Plaza with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
