Ten

Thursday. To sleep by about ten to spend an hour starting at eleven half awake before zoning off and awakening for good at six-ten. Probably good in the sense of getting enough sleep, why even bring it up? The blood pressure 123/74 when I awoke. I'm assuming that's good or, at least, not even close to sending me back on the blood pressure med. Out the door to walk to breakfast on an overcast, but warm enough morning, arriving before seven to find the restaurant open and coffee being served. Settled in with the papers.

An avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, although the waitress brought me an omelet that was also prepared with cheese. Didn't send it back, but made a note (for the fifth or sixth time) to be very clear to stress no cheese when I say avocado or avocado with mushrooms. No ocular migraines in a while, but you never know.

Finished up by eight-thirty and set out for home, the sky still overcast, the weather people saying in the low seventies later. On to take the usual set of pictures, a scooter sitting by the lake this time, there'd been four of them in a row when I'd passed by on the way in, the construction people in evidence at the site above the sidewalk at the bottom of my hill. Looks like they're getting ready to finish off the sidewalk, maybe wind all this up one day soon.

Another selfie in the apartment house lobby, another blood pressure reading when I finished editing and then posting yesterday's entry (107/70), now to see if I'm going to get that flu shot at Wallgreens. I suspect I will.

Later. A bus to the Wallgreens on 12th, a flu shot, a walk back to Grand along Broadway, taking a couple of pictures along the way, a bus then at Grand and Webster home. A walk and a flu shot. We've done well.

Evening. A little spacey, maybe, to bed by eight without checking to see what episode of Vera they were running. When's the last time I've watched it? Been able to make out most of the plot?

Lights out by nine, the BBC News off at nine-thirty, to sleep by ten.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 Oakland Chinatown StreetFest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
