Think

Saturday Awoke essentially at six after what I'm guessing was a decent night's sleep, the chest a little sore, but nothing over the top. Up at the usual time to walk to breakfast under soon to be sunny skies, arriving to find I was the second person to sit out on the patio this time. Yesterday only one other person had arrived to dine, today all the tables ended up occupied with more people waiting for a table outside.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up a little early as I didn't want to hog a table, setting out under what was now a bright and warming sun. Walked home, taking (what else?) the usual set of pictures.

Saturday and so the Grand Lake farmers market had by this time finished setting up in Splash Pad Park and so a picture as I was passing. No flowers to photograph below the Lakeview school and so on home to take the selfie and then settle in at the computer to go through the usual finish yesterday's entry before posting and starting here routine.

Later. Another cookie cutter afternoon: time on the tablet, nothing on television except the late afternoon/early evening news and the usual looking about on the web. So far, so good, but I can see where this might get really old if it's going to last well into next year.

Evening. Took a look at Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure on PBS at eight. I believe I've looked at it before, but hadn't watched it long enough to realize there was a kind of Dr. Who time traveling phone booth element in the plot, so that was interesting, but I can only hear so many “Hey Dude's” before I give up. Gave up, went to bed, did the usual lights out after ten routine.

I did get a phone call from my sister to discover I'd forgotten she'd had a birthday yesterday. Just stone cold didn't remember, although I'd bought birthday cards through Amazon a month or so back in preparation. Hadn't noted it on the calendar when I'd switched over from last year's calendar, something I've been good about doing so I don't miss these things. The memory is getting dimmer, although we're not yet close to putting up post-it notes all over the place as reminders yet.

Might have helped if you'd had one posted yesterday I'd think.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2017 LGBTQ Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
