Light

Thursday. Lights out a little late last night after being hooked on a not all that wonderful movie on the tablet. Still, awakened at six-ten to get up and listen to Democracy Now! as I was getting ready to walk to breakfast. For some reason the reporting was more depressing than usual this morning.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast (still watching the weight). More time over the papers and then another take pictures while walking home routine, not bothering to download them as there isn't anything on this (too slow) laptop to process them.

You've been bleating about this long enough, you know. You know?

Found some odd characters being displayed on the last few journal entries caused by the HTML editor having hiccups on this laptop computer. But then I guess we're back as you said to the “oh it's slow” bit.

Later. An email from Dell saying the controller I ordered is not longer available, the support person, when I called, suggesting I check the web for a used one. Which I did. Through Amazon. Let's hope it works. The price refurbished used was about a third of the new (no longer available) part. They said it will be here Tuesday.

A bath and then more time on the tablet, no desire to go outside.

Evening. Stayed up late enough to start watching the episode of Vera that started at eight thinking I'd seen it before, but wasn't sure until about forty-five minutes in. Vague memories of the beginning and one or two scenes, but then a memory of who'd done it and why. Skipped that last half hour plus and sent to bed and turned out the light.

Last year's San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival taken with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
