Surprised

Saturday. Lights out early again to awaken at five, close my eyes and awaken again at six to get up and set out for breakfast on an overcast, but relatively warm morning, passing by this on the way. Wondered if there wasn't a person in there somewhere as I approached in the distance. The restaurant was dark when I arrived, but the dining area door was open again and so settled down to read the papers.

The French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up by eight-thirty to cross the street to document the four cent increase in the price of regular (the local papers talking about four dollar a gallon gasoline now in the Bay Area), snap a picture of a Lime scooter and then on to the apartment. Overcast, but not looking like rain (please?). I hope. Took two selfies in the apartment house lobby just because.

Harrumph!

Well, maybe just a touch of harrumph in there, but otherwise fairly clear headed and up for the day. Need to go by an ATM and so we'll get outside later, no way around it.

Later. The thought was just get out the door to the bus and the Broadway ATM right away and so did it in the late morning, the return bus schedule evidently syncing up nicely on weekends with the bus out and so went by the ATM, crossed Grand to the bus stop at 20th and waited all of four minutes for the return bus to arrive. The buses don't mesh like this during the week. Takes me a while to figure these things out.

Home without getting in any walking, but such is life, the sinus-upper palate doing its thing, the head in the usual bubble when the sinuses are acting up. No thought to go outside again, but turned on the golf tournament on television at noon and watched it off and on til the end.

Evening. I'd thought the Cherry Blossom Parade and Festival was last weekend, but it's this weekend, the parade tomorrow. I suspect I won't be up for it, but I'm charging the camera batteries just in case. We'll see, but if I do, I'll be the one who's surprised.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 Saint Stupid's Day Parade with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 Nikkor VR lens.
