Wednesday. Another difficult time getting to sleep last night, finally conking out around midnight to then awaken at five-forty. Not good, but it doesn't seem to have slowed me down and so up to head down to the garage and start the car to find a friend who lives in one of the first floor apartments standing beside her car motioning for me to roll down my window. Seems someone had been able to enter the garage last night and rifled through her car, fortunately not breaking anything or finding anything to steal. This has happened in the past and she warned me to always stop when leaving the garage to allow the automatic door to fully close. Which I assured her, given our past experience with this, I always do.
OK, we have enough excitement going on as it is, off to breakfast to enter the dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. We're breaking the rules in doing this, but we're pretty careful and that's been the rationalization I've been using to continue.
Another sign you probably don't have a clue.
Maybe so. Well, probably so. Ordered the avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up at a quarter after nine to drive home and discover the key operated switch that opens the garage door had had its face plate pried off and exposing the two wires that, when pressed together, open the garage door. Seems whoever entered last night hadn't slipped in when one of our tenants was leaving, but had destroyed the key activated switch to gain entry. OK, touch the two exposed wires together, park the car, take the selfie and settle in at the computer.
Later. Wondered who would pry the key lock face off a garage door opener and then only check out the one car with unlocked doors. (I'm assuming it was the only car with an unlocked door.) A kid? You'd think. Or at least I'd think, but I suspect we'll never know.
Otherwise an afternoon listening to the radio and watching things I probably wouldn't have watched otherwise on the tablet without a shelter in place in effect. Not overly tired remembering what I thought wasn't enough sleep last night, but I'm not looking forward to this if we have to continue staying inside for months and months.
Not happy to hear Bernie Sanders dropped out of the Presidential race. I supported Sanders and secondarily Warren for President, didn't and don't much like Biden and consider Trump a monster, but so it goes.
Evening. Got up to watch Midsomer Murders at eight, watching it all the way through. Surprised me doing that, I haven't watched it now in years. I'd forgotten at the end why the person identified as the murderer had done the evil deed, but wasn't particularly concerned. I'll forget most of the rest of the plot in another week (or day) or two, so won't sweat the little stuff. Lights out at ten, we'll see when I manage to follow.
