Out

Thursday. Awoke at a quarter to seven, not bad, up to walk to breakfast on an overcast morning, figuring I needed to get some minimal amount of walking in. Should have done this much earlier. Wore the mask and a pair of rubber gloves, figuring I should set out fully prepared, arrived before seven and entered the blocked off dining area, turning on the lights and opening the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, this time, finishing up again after nine to set out for home. Still overcast, approaching the first two planters on the sidewalk in front of Brothers & Sisters Flowers to find all the flowers gone. And the rest of the usual suspects? Found they were better cared for and so the usual series of pictures plus one or two extra ones.

On toward the lake, the selfie in the lobby and up to finish and post yesterday's journal entry before starting on this. Back to the same old walk to breakfast and back mornings (if I'm lucky).

Later. Listened to some opera for some time this afternoon, been a while since I've listened to anything here in an apartment where I have well over a thousand l.p.'s and music DVD's. Brought back those times when I had the down payment on a house tied up in my stereo system. (Probably not the best idea in the world: having the down payment on a house tied up in your stereo system.) Did some prints of a photograph I'd forgotten I'd taken way back when, someone who had the same relationship to the music I had then.

Evening. Watched an episode of Vera at eight that I'd seen before (Britbox has all of the Vera episodes on their site and I've pretty much watched any and all I've not seen before.) I knew I'd seen this one from the first scene, but only remembered the ending, who'd done it, when it played. Again, an advantage of this memory thing. To bed then, pretty much skipping watching anything more on the tablet, listening to the news at ten before turning the lights out.
