Come

Thursday. To sleep by eleven to essentially wake up at close to six and so I more than suspect a successful night's rest. A walk instead of a drive to breakfast on a sunny morning, arriving to find but two or three customers waiting for take out orders and so into the closed off dining room again to turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers. So far, so good, on what they're saying will be another day up into the seventies.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again, we're starting to make progress on this weight management thing, finishing up after nine to set out for home, only one of the planters between the restaurant and the Grand Lake theater corner now with flowers, although the Lakeview school now has a number of different blooming plants where in the past it too was down to but one or two due to its gardeners removing them. So a series of pictures.

A line of Gruv scooters for the first time in some time to see scooters by the lake, home to take the selfie in the lobby and then settle in with yesterday's entry. We'll not comment on yesterday's entry.

Later. I first noticed a pigeon that started landing on my balcony railing some time back and soon realized he or she was flying up and building a nest where they'd cut away the covering of the balcony above when they were examining the balconies for structural integrity. The pigeon had chosen the far opening above the light and I've been wondering how to get a picture, not of the nest itself, but of one of the pigeons as it leaves or enters the nest. We'll think about that for a while.

Evening. Spent the rest of the day on the tablet, getting up to check out Vera on PBS at eight, but realized I'd seen the episode before and, although I couldn't remember the plot or the outcome, decided I didn't need to watch it for more than five minutes, turning it off and heading for bed. The usual listen to the BBC News at nine, lights out at ten, to sleep whenever it may decide to come.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
