Bed

Friday. Lights out by ten to awaken at six. Not bad. About right. Up a little later to walk to breakfast under clear skies, the haircut appointment at nine-thirty and so thinking I needed to drag things out by about ten minutes so I'd finish breakfast and the papers close to nine-thirty rather than the usual nine. Settled in at my patio table and started on the papers, still the first to arrive.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, still holding the weight on the scale this morning, finishing up at nine-twenty to set out for the barber shop taking the usual pictures along the way. Arrived at nine twenty-five, sat in the chair five minutes later and finished up at close to ten. Probably should have had it cut even shorter, but we can take care of that the next time around. On home under a bright sun feeling the breeze around the ears for the first time in a long time.

Arrived home, took the selfie in the lobby and settled in at the computer to work on yesterday's entry before posting, discovering one or two errors I should never have missed. We'll see how we do this morning.

Later. A walk up to the 7-11 look-alike (how long has it been since I've shopped there?) to pick up a pint of Strawberry ice cream, bean dip and Doritos Flaming Hot Nachos. I should have passed on the Flaming Hot Nachos.

Back to snap another selfie to see if, having brushed my hair since taking it this morning, it looked any less disheveled. Hmm. Ate the ice cream and some of the bean dip and Nachos. Wasn't particularly hungry, but used them as an excuse to get outside the apartment.

Evening. Started watching Inspector Morse at eight. I suspected I'd seen it before, but remembered little if any of it. For the best, I guess, if you're going to watch it again. Bailed after about an hour not being interested in who'd done the evil deeds. Tired. Ready for bed.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco Saint Stupid's Day Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 24-70mm f 2.8 G Nikkor lens.
