Nine

Thursday. To sleep pretty much right away last night to awaken at ten minutes before six to go through the usual routine in getting up and setting out walking to breakfast around seven-thirty, having listened to the full hour of Democracy Now! reasonably wide awake and with moderate comprehension. Arrived at the restaurant to sit in the indoor dining area again and start on the papers.

The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up before nine to set out walking home under reasonably clear skies, the weather people saying into the mid-sixties later, none of this skating along wondering if we'd hit sixties business. Passed the the barber shop, the hair stylist busy, looking forward to having the hair chopped way back tomorrow morning. Not all is gloom and doom during this pandemic.

Home to take the selfie, the last one before the haircut, and settle in at the computer to start the morning routine here. Made some very forgetful not paying attention mistakes in the processing of the pictures, not sure why. A little tired, even with the sleep last night, so maybe we'll try a nap.

Later. No nap, but a bath in preparation for the haircut tomorrow. Wouldn't want my hair to dent her scissors.

I take it we haven't been washing our hair all that often?

I've been washing it regularly until recently and now it's been a couple of weeks since the last washing. Enjoy taking baths, just have trouble talking myself into getting into the tub. It's hardly a problem once I make that first step. Similar to getting outside the door as in walking to breakfast. I fight it to various degrees up until I set foot outside and then it's no big deal. I just sail right along.

I did get in that nap, forty-five minutes in the mid-afternoon. Forty-five minutes seems to be norm for these naps once I get home.

Evening. Watched Vera at eight. Remembered the very beginning and two very short scenes toward the end, but that was it. To bed after nine.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco Saint Stupid's Day Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
