Art & Life

April 22, 2021

Morning

Thursday. Awoke at five again to zone out until six and on and off listen to Democracy Now! before getting up to drive to breakfast, park by the 7-11 store, enter the restaurant dining, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. Overcast and a little cold so no thought to get up and move to the patio when they had it set up later, the work crew that had been using an air hammer yesterday evidently finished with their project.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee because we're still watching the weight, finishing up at nine to walk to the car and drive straight home, noting the ten cent increase in the price of regular as I passed. Took the selfie in the lobby and settled in at the computer after starting the laundry before beginning work on this.

Later. Laundry done, folded and hung by noon, the socks folded and in their bin a couple of hours later. Life in the fast lane. Again.

Evening. Watched the first hour of Greta Thunberg: A Year to Change The World that started at eight, but skipped the episodes that followed and went to bed. Colder than usual, for some reason, and so huddled under the covers, lights out before ten, we'll see what the temperature feels like in the morning.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco March For Science with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
