After Ten
Wednesday. An uneven night's sleep, last night, zoning in and out until after eleven, then awakening briefly a couple of times before awakening for good at six. Not sure if that's good or bad, the brief awakenings, but we'll see. Up to walk to breakfast under overcast skies, arriving to find the patio set up, but opted to stay inside and so sat down at my usual table and started on the papers.
The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, still watching the weight, finishing up at nine to set out for home. A work crew had started using an air hammer again next to the restaurant patio after I arrived, making dining impossible outside both for the noise and the cement dust blowing over the tables. Even so, only two other diners joined me back in in the dining room by the time I'd finished.
Home to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer to start on all this.
Later. Another tablet and news program afternoon, albeit a little lighter on the news as you can only stand to hear the same news stories over and over just so many times.
Evening. Watched Midsomer Murders at eight, one I'd seen before, but again only remembered certain scenes. The usual go through the list of possible suspects to find the guilty party at the very end, the standard plot without too many cute asides.
Cute asides?
Adding humor to these things is evidently quite hard as they, at least for me, have so much trouble pulling it off.
To bed around nine-thirty, lights out just after ten.
