After

Thursday. To sleep just after ten to awaken again not long after five, blink, to find it was ten minutes to six. We seem to be in a rut on this. A walk to breakfast on another clear and sunny morning, arriving to settle in at the usual table in the indoor dining area after checking out the new tables again on the patio. Decided the chair to table height makes it somewhat uncomfortable to read the papers and so went right back inside.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing just after nine to set out for home and take the usual series of pictures. They're saying it will get up over seventy again and the temperature felt they were probably on target. No complaints, but they're also saying these droughts will be the new norm with climate warming and I suspect we're going to see some changes in the way we handle and allocate water in the not so far future.

Tired when I got home and so took the selfie in the lobby and ended up hustling to the bathroom (just in time) before settling down at the computer to start, but not finish, here. A haircut appointment coming up at eleven-thirty and I worried if I lied down I might sleep through the appointment. Well, I lied down and turned on the radio. Certainly I wouldn't go to sleep with the radio playing, right?

Later. Didn't fall asleep, set out for the haircut at twenty minutes after eleven, arrived by eleven-thirty, got the haircut and returned to the apartment. Not sure there's that much difference. Lied down again, we'll get to processing this morning's pictures later.

Evening. Watched Vera at eight, one I'd seen before, of course, but had no idea who'd done the evil deed until the end. Of course. To bed just before nine, lights out soon after.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Oakland Climate March at Lake Merritt with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
