Year
Friday. To sleep not all that long after ten to awaken a couple of times during the night and into the early morning to awaken then for good at six-fifteen after an uneven, but I suspect long enough, night's sleep. Up to drive to breakfast for no good reason, arriving early and settling inside at the usual table to start on the papers, the morning overcast, the sun behind the scattered clouds. They're forecasting a high in the mid-sixties later.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, the weight still not behaving, but what the hell, that's what appealed. Finished up just after nine to walk to the car parked by the 7-11 store and drive straight home, taking the selfie in the lobby, racing to the bathroom and then settling down here at the computer.
I spent yesterday feeling tired all day, not over the top tired, but tired enough, maybe catch up on the sleep later. A video session with a Physician's Assistant to schedule a colonoscopy coming up at twelve-twenty, but the day is clear thereafter.
Later. After thirty minutes online with the Physician's Assistant, I'm realizing this colonoscopy thing is more complicated than the earlier ones. Much discussion about my bowel movements, it seems there's more of a problem with them than I realized and so we arranged to do the thing in the middle of next month.
A walk to the Lakeshore Walgreens to pick up the colonoscopy preparation kit feeling (what else?) fatigued and wanting to lie down when I got home. Interesting to see the number of people getting COVID shots at the Wallgreens though.
More time watching what turned out to be thoroughly dumb movies on the tablet. At least I felt more rested lying down.
Evening. Watched the first twenty minutes of Inspector Morse at eight before deciding I really wasn't paying attention and so to bed. Still feeling fatigued. Fatigued or tired, which describes it better? There's a difference in how I interpret them, fatigued versus tired, but I'm not sure what it is. I do drift off more and often during this last strange year.
