To Portland
Thursday. The early morning packing clothes, on the road at eleven. Four camera bags, one overhead suitcase, a laptop: up Highway 5 for seven and a half hours, checking into a motel just north of Roseburg, Oregon. A bath, a movie (Harry Potter Meets Godzilla) or something very similar on television. A long day's drive. Tomorrow morning to Portland.
