Tomorrow Seattle
Friday. Arrived at my sister's around eleven, having stayed at a motel just north of Roseburg last night some hundred and fifty miles south of Portland. I say Portland, but my sister lives in Lake Oswego, a Portland suburb some twenty miles to the south. Fifteen miles to the south. Something like that. Believe me, seven and a half hours of driving yesterday was more than enough, I'm not looking forward to the trip back. Life literally in the fast lane. Mostly in the fast lane. What can I say? I'm a California driver: if you're not passing, keep your sorry ass to the right.
I must admit yesterday and today have been foggy, the head in a cone of silence. Who are these people? Where am I? Nothing terrible about it but I wonder? Why what appeared on the surface to be enough sleep, wasn't? Still, a nap this afternoon. Then another. Tomorrow Seattle.
