To Bed Early?
Tuesday. To bed at ten-thirty, so to sleep probably around eleven, up fifteen minutes after the alarm to head off to breakfast on a sun poking through the clouds brighter if not nicer than usual morning. Life begins.
A guitar lesson later, of course, we'll review the lesson later, see how far we may have gotten. This is a fast paced song and the problem is in hitting the notes in some semblance of tonality. One thing about these lessons, at them all things are revealed.
Later. A nap and then a bus downtown to the Latham Square project to find people on site moving wooden planters, pedestrian seating and such into place. OK, take pictures for an hour before returning on the bus. End of day Thursday is still the target date for the Latham Square completion, an opening ceremony to be held then at noon on Friday to include remarks by the mayor. So we'll be there.
Another nap to awake, spend twenty minutes on the guitar before heading off to the lesson. Found a parking space out front, took a couple of pictures out on the patio, played through the lesson, although the pace was faster than my hands. Still, progress. More of the song for next week, one or two additional chords and picking up the speed.
Home to walk across Grand to the local burger drive-in for a chicken sandwich to go (no onions). I'd thought of getting one when I was returning on the bus from Latham Square, but put it off with the thought I'd get one after the lesson if I was still hungry. A chicken sandwich, by the way, doesn't work to fix this feeling tired business.
Evening. A Maigret I've seen before but again had no idea who'd done it why or to whom. Remembered the scenes as they played, but still not a clue, although I'd definitely seen this one within, say, the last many months. Do I forget the story lines on, say, non detective fiction? Do I? I've got a few hundred examples still up here up on shelves, maybe I'll pull one down and see, deedle-dee-dee.
So I skipped out on Maigret to continue with another chapter of the Korean Orpheus Monday-Tuesday program I mentioned watching last night and then, if there's nothing on television later at nine, I'll go to bed. Really. Tired all day and not go to bed early?
