Again

Friday. A decent night's sleep. The usual couple of awakenings or semi-awakenings during the night, but lights out before ten to finally awaken and get up at six-thirty, listening to the last half of Democracy Now as I got ready for breakfast. Not fighting it, just, you know, rolling right along on another overcast, going to be a cooler day they say, morning.

Had the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries for breakfast as threatened yesterday. Tastes good and I really don't ever have to warm to the idea of eating it. More the cured meats and such that seem to put me off and they're the ones the doctors say can bring on an ocular migraine. So we'll see how we do through the coming weekend.

A picture or two on the way home feeling, again, reasonably good. We need to go by an ATM later, so I suspect we're thinking of heading downtown to Latham Square to take one final set of pictures to finish one last web section to show what it looks like now that it's done. And then we're done.

And then something else?

Maybe yes, but something I won't bitch about here, something where I can get my head around the photographs. No ideas yet, but probably not a good sign if I don't eventually come up with a project.

Later. Some puttering around the apartment before catching a bus to the Broadway ATM and then walking on to Latham Square to take another set of photographs. A walk then to the bagel shop in the City Center for a fruit cup and coffee out at one of their tables. A big factor in choosing to eat there is the small somewhat enclosed patio and the comfortable tables and chairs.

The sun was out by the time I'd arrived and so a bus back to the apartment to tackle today's not very many pictures. No sign of ocular anythings, although the sinuses and upper palate have been aching. No vision issues or other bothers and so, so far, maybe the diet is working. No crap then means no crap later. Who'da thought?

Later still. An automated call from the pharmacy saying a refill was ready. Wasn't sure which one it might be, but an excuse to go out again and get in another walk. Or something like that. Anyway, off to Lakeshore and the pharmacy (only a $2 co-pay, lucked out) to then immediately return home, no diversions for ice cream or anything else on the “to be avoided” list.

Evening. Watched Democracy Now with interest after hearing the last half of the program as I was getting up this morning. To bed and the tablet after to look for something to watch, up to check who was being interviewed on Charlie Rose, turned out is was a repeat of an earlier show, this one on Shakespeare. I am not usually interested in Shakespeare and even less so this evening. And so to bed. Again.

The photo up top was taken Sunday at the Oakland Art & Soul Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
