Tonight

Monday. Lights out early after taking the blood pressure at eight - 128/77 - and then again twenty minutes later - 85/66. A reading error? Decided to skip the med and see how it reads in the morning. A ‘light’ night's sleep then, seemingly coming to consciousness a number of times before finally awakening just after six. OK, up, take the blood pressure - 108/76 - to find it, if not normal, then pretty close to normal, and figured I'd read it again after I got back from breakfast and decide what to do then.

Quite overcast, no hint of smoke in the air that I could detect, the pollution index sitting well into caution, but a decent walk to breakfast passing by a boarded up window that had evidently been broken since yesterday. By whom and why?

The restaurant was open when I arrived and so the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. After yesterday's trip to the supermarket I'd eaten, well, quite a bit more than I probably should. Not unusual after a supermarket run.

Finished up twenty minutes before nine and so headed home taking pictures. Still overcast, but some spring in the step with the head clear thinking that the ‘wobbly’, ‘fuzzy headed’ head states of the past really were wobbly and fuzzy. All this because I didn't track the blood pressure, because it was lower than clear headedness allowed, making me forgetful and not paying close enough attention? Be nice if it was, as that meant a solution to the problem may be at hand.

A picture of a Lime scooter being activated by a young woman by the lake, another of two Bird scooters on their sides that I'd passed by on the way to breakfast as they were being unloaded and placed on the sidewalk from a pickup truck, but hadn't managed a photograph.

Home to again take the blood pressure at nine - 103/72 - and so decided to skip the med again. I'm thinking however this turns out, check with the doctor to see if there isn't a med out there that comes in a smaller dose than this one where I've now had to cut their smallest dose in half over the years. Probably grasping at straws to think I might be able to stop taking them altogether.

Later. Various readings through the early afternoon - 108/71, 123/68, 126/76 - and so the blood pressure is holding close to where most would call normal. We'll see where it goes.

A walk over to the construction site just up the street to take another picture. No real change I can see, but it did get me out of the apartment. For five minutes. Otherwise time on the tablet to watch various things, putting off the the mid-afternoon news programs until later. Another reading at five-thirty: 122/74. I'm guessing no med tonight either.

Evening. More time on the tablet, nothing on television other than the usual news programs. The blood pressure 124/73 at eight, so it seems to be holding. We'll skip the med again tonight.
