Tablet

Thursday. Lights out well before ten to awaken at five forty-five again. Good. Up to walk to breakfast on another overcast and cool morning, arriving to find the restaurant open and ready for business.

The avocado omelet, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast because that's what came out of my mouth when asked, finishing up before eight-thirty again to set out with the small V3 camera mounted with the much wider angle lens I'd used yesterday in going to the lab. Took the usual pictures, everything smaller now in the distance, another of the construction area above the sidewalk near the bottom of my hill as well as the morning selfie in the lobby mirror. So far, so good: the head clear, whatever tiredness not here.

Knock on wood.

Later. A call from the cardiologist's office to say the lab test went well, please return for another one in four weeks.

A period of tiredness came on around noon and so lied down for a while, nothing on television I wanted to watch until the news came on at two and it was touchy even then. Read an interesting and disturbing article by Matt Taibbi in the new Rolling Stone that arrived in the mail today on the current state of the Democratic presidential race. Another indication we do indeed live in interesting times.

Evening. Stayed up long enough to watch some of the Vera episode that started at eight, switched to the French Spiral – Season Six, Episode 3, an excellent series I've watched on the tablet in years past, but bailed to head for bed. Tired again, didn't touch the tablet.

The photo up top was taken while walking home after breakfast this morning with a Nikon 1 V3 mounted with a 10-30mm f 3.5-5.6 Nikon 1 VR Nikkor lens.
