Say

Friday. Don't remember when I got to sleep last night. Lights out by nine-thirty, but, if I can't remember, maybe I just dropped right off and slept through til six. Well, until five, but a blink and it was six. I do remember when I woke up. Which is good. We'll go with good.

Up and out the door to walk to breakfast under a cloudy sky, passing by two groups of people exercising by the lake and so managed an out of focus picture. Arrived before seven to find the restaurant open again and so settled in with the papers.

Had the Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up somewhat later this time around nine. Home, passing by the Ford bicycle rental kiosk with but one with a Lyft logo remaining for rental and someone renting it soon after, as it passed by me on the street five minutes later. So people do use these things.

I came up on on a young guy who was launching a small drone just ahead of me on the sidewalk and, stopping, not sure how close I wanted to get to the thing as it hovered not far away at eye height, not thinking to take a picture until it was too far away to get anything worth displaying. A first for finding drones while walking home. If there's a next time I hope I get a decent photograph.

The usual flower photo, two instances of bicycle riders waiting at intersections at the light, two workers at the construction site above the sidewalk at the base of my hill and, of course, a selfie in the apartment house lobby. Another morning, another set of the same pictures and yet they seem to have pleased me well enough.

Evening. Tablet and then more tablet and not much else to say.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
