Thinking

Wednesday. Awoke at six-oh-six and so a decent night's sleep, up to walk to breakfast under clear skies and a decent temperature, although they're saying we're due for a high back up to eighty again later. A picture of a vacuum cleaner discarded at the usual place at the bottom of my hill, another of the Ford Go-Bike rack as I approached the restaurant to arrive and find it open and people inside.

The two strips of bacon (it arrived with three), scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, we'll watch what we eat for the rest of the day as, although lighter, still two pounds over target on the scale this morning.

Finished up by eight-thirty and so back home, another picture of the Go-Bike rack, four bikes fewer after almost two hours at breakfast, stopped at the corner across from the Grand Lake theater to take another picture of whatever these are as well as a picture of a guy on his bicycle waiting on the light. How many of these pictures have I taken over the years? Do I care?

Seems not.

On by the construction site near the bottom of my hill to take a picture that doesn't really show anything new and then on to the apartment house lobby and the selfie before heading upstairs and starting the morning routine that ends up with this. We'll stop right here.

Later. A quick walk up the way to see what, if anything, they'd been doing at the apartment house/condominium construction site just up my street. Seems they've cut the grass (good to do in this weather), but otherwise not much has changed. They'd had a crew clearing out interior siding and such down on Grand early this morning when I passed by on the way to breakfast and so I was curious. They've been doing this now down on Grand for some time.

A bus later to the bank ATM on Broadway to then walk to the apartment house construction area on Webster and at 23rd and Valdez to photograph the projects facing one another on Valdez at 23rd before catching the bus home. Thought to stay on the bus and get off near the barber shop to make an appointment for tomorrow, but chickened out, rationalizing I'll do it in the morning after breakfast.

Evening. Nothing on television (all the public stations are raising money, it seems) and so to bed by eight, but getting hung up on this and that on the tablet and so not turning out the lights until after ten. To sleep pretty much right away, but what was I thinking?

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Oakland Chinatown Street Fest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
