Not

Tuesday. Awoke at five, a blink, and then it was a quarter of six, pretty much in line with recent nights. Up and out the door on another low clouds overcast sky, the temperature pretty good, to arrive before seven to find the restaurant open and people inside.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, two pounds over on the scale this morning. Well, two and a half. Too many. Finished up at eight thirty-five and headed home, having forgotten to glance at and note the Go-Bike rack on the way in, but taking a picture on the way home, wondering at not remembering to at least glance at the thing earlier.

On to below the Lakeview school, under the 580 Overpass and across from the lake, noting the lack of Lime scooters, but a line of Lyft scooters seemingly taking their place. Mildly curious as to the thinking by the scooter people on where they put them to maximize their usage in the mornings.

A worker at the construction site above the sidewalk at the foot of my hill, looks like they'll be finished one of these days, another selfie in the apartment house lobby and then up the the apartment, the computer taking forever and at least one reboot to get everything loaded so I could process this morning's pictures. Not sure what's happening there. It works find once it's up and running, it's just that getting up and running has been chancy lately.

Read an entry on the NextDoor app for my neighborhood that described a robbery not all that far from my apartment, two young men, one with a gun, who'd robbed a neighbor of their backpack and phone yesterday in the middle of the day. The middle of the day. With a gun. I must admit it doesn't encourage me to get outside later.

Later. Finished watching the current Elementary season on the tablet this afternoon. Seems they were wrapping up what is to be their last season in the series. I've watched enough Elementary, I think, for a lifetime. Watched/listened to the usual news programs and the afternoon managed to drift right into evening all by its little lonesome.

Evening. To bed by eight, again, burned out on watching things on the tablet and so lights out not long after nine to listen to the BBC News for maybe half an hour. Don't remember if I had the fan running or not. Suspect not.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Oakland Chinatown Street Fest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
