Tablet

Friday. To sleep around the usual time to awaken at five with the sore chest and so changed position a number of times, dozing off again as always to awaken for good at six and listen to Democracy Now! for its hour, getting up and walking to breakfast under partly cloudy, looks like the sun will break through pretty soon, skies. No sign of the fellow who'd been sleeping on the sidewalk flower container (should have taken a picture) to arrive a little early and settle in with the papers. I'd dressed in a light shirt and jacket, thinking it would be warmer and, indeed, warmer it was.

The ground beef patty, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, haven't had that in a while if only because I tend to forget it's on the menu, finishing up after nine to walk back under a bright sun, a not too warm bright sun, taking the usual series of pictures, most of the people I passed wearing masks, but with still too many exceptions. Two or three scooters lying on the sidewalk on their sides, not all that many to be seen along this stretch in these last few months, home to take the selfie in the lobby. Up now messing with this.

Later. Tablet, news and then back to the tablet. No thought to clean the bathroom or handle any of the other similar tasks needing attention here in the apartment. No complaints, just, you know, not something you want to admit to or have made public.

Evening. Watched a Britbox episode, got up to check out Inspector Morse that turned out to be one I'd seen before and didn't need to see again and so back to bed and the tablet.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
