Come By
Monday Lights out around eleven to then have trouble getting to sleep. Not totally certain that's true because even though I awoke just before six, I seem to feel reasonably coherent and awake, whatever sleep I might have gotten last nigh. Up finally to walk to breakfast with the streets and parked cars showing signs of a light rain last night. The sky overcast, the temperature cool without being cold while wearing a t-shirt and light jacket. Arrived to find them just putting out the patio tables, but settled in soon enough with the papers.
The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee this time, haven't had that in a while, finishing up by nine to set out for home, the sky still pretty much overcast, but no noticeable smoke in the air after the earlier light rain. At least that was my guess when I'd gotten up and decided to open the bedroom windows and balcony door to cool down the apartment when I saw water on the streets and cars. Maybe better to say no smoke I could smell or visually determine. We evidently dodged a bullet on the lack of lightening, but the fires are still out of control and creating smoke.
Home a little out of breath after climbing the hill wearing the mask, but took the selfie and then settled in at the computer. Said I wasn't tired earlier, but it soon caught up with me after I'd started here and so to bed for a close to two hour nap.
Later. The sun showing itself now and again through the smoke. The Chronicle has a Bay Area map posted showing my area is currently in the Moderate category, although it was in the Unhealthy For Some category earlier this afternoon with others to the east in Unhealthy For All and so we'll take our chances hunkered down here inside.
It's now four o'clock. No sign of the Protime blood thinner testing guy who was supposed to come by and take a reading today.
Evening. Nothing to watch on television and so to bed after checking out Bletchley Circle - San Francisco that started just before nine. I like the whole idea of the program, but it hasn't kept my attention. Too British somehow, although that's odd to say. Ah, well.
Still no sign of or word from the Protime people. Odd not to at least receive a head's up that they were unable to come by.
