Drive

Saturday. To sleep not all that long after ten to awaken at five-thirty and so listen to the news until it was time to get up and drive to breakfast. Feel pretty good, so maybe a good night's rest, awakening at five-thirty or not. Parked by the 7-11 and entered the restaurant's inner dining area, settle in at my table and started on the papers. Overcast, they're saying smoke at the higher elevations making me think I probably shouldn't have had my bedroom windows open all night. Just the slightest hint of smoke in the air, but the web says it's still in the good area, but closing in on moderate.

The two strips of bacon (they brought three), scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up by nine to walk back over to the car and drive straight home, take the selfie in the lobby and settle down at the computer. Updated yesterday's entry, posted, processed this morning's pictures and started here, finishing by ten-thirty. Now to finish packing for the trip north. Feel clear headed and energetic, hope it lasts. At least the attitude is good.

Later. Packing completed, ready to load in the car in the morning. Same old tired and a bit wobbly arrived this afternoon, so we'll take our time driving.

Evening. To bed early, not looking forward to the length of tomorrow's drive.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
