Game

Monday. Not quite sure when I got to sleep, although I remember seeing the clock when it reached eleven-thirty last night, awakening to take a leak at four-thirty and then awakening for good after six to listen to the rest of Democracy Now! before going through the usual get up and walk to breakfast under overcast and smoky skies routine, arriving to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again, watching the weight, finishing up before nine and setting out walking home, the sky still dark, the walk easy enough stopping to take many of the usual pictures to include the selfie in the lobby before settling in at the computer and starting here. I'm thinking of walking to Wallgreens to get a flu shot after listening to the news at noon to find out what's happening with the Gulf hurricane and the Caldor Tahoe fire.

Later. Made a dental appointment. I'd chipped a molar biting down on a piece of ice in Oregon. It didn't and doesn't hurt, but I need to have it fixed so we'll get the teeth cleaned and the necessary x-rays taken this coming Friday. So good.

Didn't walk to Walgreens for the flu shot, although I did prepare to go and walked out the door to then test the outside air. Didn't take much to talk me back inside. Did clean out more of the old paperwork that's been sitting in the two file cabinets for over these last two decades or more. Surprised myself there. Cleaned and packed up two of the old cameras that I should have gotten rid of back when I replaced them with new ones, but didn't. Why hold on to an old camera? People do, I know, and I'm one of them.

Evening. Nothing on television and not much on the tablet. To bed by nine, still keeping a nervous eye on the blood pressure ups and downs, probably going overboard with the readings. The bedroom windows wide open again, the fan at the foot of the bed on low, lights out by ten after listening to the last inning of the Giants-Brewers game.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
