Deal With

Thursday. I did turn the lights out fairly early after moving back and forth between various movies and television series on Netflix and Amazon last night, got to sleep eventually, awakening and getting up but once. Still, not the best of night's, awakening at eight on this Christmas Day morning.

Read the papers in bed and then took a nap, a nap with a good hour of sleep. Up to have cereal for breakfast and then back to bed, another nap, a bath someplace in between. A slow morning, I'd say, the sun shining, the air crisp, but not all that cold.

A walk to the 7-11 look-alike for an ice cream bar to get outside. A walk then to the bird sanctuary to see what was up (not much, people about, kids throwing bread crumbs to the birds, bright sun, intermittent breeze), nothing new in the way of pictures, tired, but a decent walk none the less. Back home to lie down again.

A really slow day or what?

Just tired, the sinuses acting up, but not too over the top. Funky day, Christmas Day, we've done a bunch of them by now and sometimes they're like this, sometimes like that. Still, naps are good, feel better now that it's after three so we'll see.

Evening. A nice talk with the sister, pasta with red clam sauce for dinner, nothing again on television after Democracy Now that ends at half past six. Not all that tired, but maybe we'll try to get to sleep early and see.

You still have some of that sake left.

Hmm. We might find a way to deal with that.

The photo was taken at the Oakland City Center in December, 2013, with the Nikon D4s mounted with a 24-120mm f/4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
