Time

Sunday. Lights out at ten to awaken not long after six. Good. Not sure if that was enough sleep, but good, up and out the door to drive to breakfast at five minutes to seven, arriving to find the restaurant dark, but for a light at the back in the kitchen, the dining room area door open and so inside to turn on the lights and spread the papers out at my table. When you're the first customer through the door you can sit, morning in and morning out, at the same table.

Had the corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing the papers by nine to head out the door on a cloudy day, taking the two pictures I usually take when I'm driving. Well, I actually shoot a picture that sits behind the gas price link up on the left, but they don't really count, as I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who ever sees them.

Need to go by an ATM and that will get me out the door at some point, but otherwise nothing on the schedule.

Later. Cold out there, dressed for it or not. A brisk walk to the ATM on Lakeshore and back feeling cold indeed, but clear headed and in good spirits, not at all tired when I returned. So good. I was worried, a bit worried about the corned beef hash this morning, but if it's going to be a problem it hasn't kicked in yet.

Home before noon to futz around a bit here and then watch another episode or two of a series on the tablet.

Evening. Watched the two Elementary episodes although I'd seen both. Didn't remember most of them, who'd done the terrible deed and the rest, although individual scenes did pop into mind. Doesn't much matter, none of their “plots” make any real sense. Tired, when I'd finished at seven, tired and, my goodness, one of the splotches with the sparkly edges appeared and then disappeared in one or two minutes. To bed early feeling, well, really tired this time.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Oakland Childrens' Holiday Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 24-120mm f/4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
