Tonight
Thursday. Lights out before ten, tired after all the walking yesterday, to sleep pretty much right away to awaken in time to listen to the KPFA five minute news before six and then get up with Democracy Now! running in the background, broadcasting from the U.N. Climate Talks in Poland. Not enough reporting being done by other news media on the climate talks, here or in coal burning Poland.
A walk to breakfast under clear skies, still dark of course, and quite cold. The eyes watering, the nose barely under control.
Had the Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up by eight-forty and walking home by the pandorea flowers, as always, taking the usual sidewalk picture to include one of an overexposed and not quite in focus yellow rose below the school. No matter the quality of the picture, the school roses seem to be doing fine in mid-December. Oh, and of ten Bird scooters parked this time at the school entrance.
So far, so good. I guess. A sunny morning, be interesting to see if I get out again, as I did yesterday, for a walk and maybe more pictures.
Later. A walk to the bus stop thinking I'd go by the Broadway ATM and sneak in more pictures of the construction sites with better light this time, but the bus didn't come. Did I want to walk to the Lakeshore ATM? I didn't, but I did. Stopped on the way home to have two scoops of ice cream at the Dreyer's shop and that's been it for today's walking. Tired now. We'll stay inside.
Feeling tired I went to the bedroom to listen to the PBS Newshour on the radio rather than listen to it in the living room on television and fell asleep for forty-five minutes. Felt better after awakening, but I obviously didn't get quite enough sleep last night. Better to blame it on that than getting old more often tired I was thinking.
Evening. Nothing on television and so to bed by eight, lights out not long after nine. Not a bad day, got the walking in, I'm thinking we'll sleep straight through again tonight.
