Bed
Wednesday. An uneven night's sleep in the sense I seemed to awaken every hour or so to glance at the clock as it ticked off the hours, this throughout the night, to awaken then for good at just before six as I did yesterday. For what I was thinking must have been a too short night of rest I still felt fine, bright eyed and clear headed as I got ready to head out to breakfast on a clear and not overly cold morning. A weird, but evidently decent start to what will be a sunny day. Knock on wood.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee over the papers, the usual madness in the White House taking up most of the pages. You really don't get used to it as he's is still able to surprise/shock you time and again, time and again.
Finished up some twenty minutes before nine and set out for home snapping pictures along the way, the usual sidewalk stuff, the flowers below the school and the scooters that seem to suck me in every time I pass one by. And there were many to pass on by. My, my.
Home to download the pictures in the now updated Lightroom that worked just fine yesterday to have it fail again. I suspect it has something to do with the external drives I use to store them, from reading what little there is on the Adobe site that describes the problem, but whatever it is it isn't going away and so back to the old update that still worked, this task taking up well over an hour.
Later. A bus to the City Center, arriving after one, to have a turkey with Swiss cheese bagel sandwich and coffee out at a table in the sun. Good. Haven't done that in a long time. Hesitated in going, but a whiff of stuck inside the apartment scooted me right out the door and the head felt a jolt of better/clearer the minute I opened the door.
A walk then back to the apartment taking a picture of the construction site at 17th and Broadway (how many stories is it now?) and then on to the apartment house construction sites fronting on Webster and around the corner on Valdez, the mid-afternoon sun low enough to throw shadows on the buildings that will get me back again at a better time. Can't remember how long it's been since I've taken photographs there.
Back to catch the mid-afternoon news programs, process today's pictures and relax. A good outing, a brisk walk and the head seems well screwed on.
Evening. Watched most of the first episode of Midsomer Murders at eight. I'd seen in before, didn't like it then, figured it wasn't worth the effort to find out (again) who'd done the deed and why and so went to bed.
