Nine
Saturday. Lights out by ten to awaken at six-fifteen, right on target: awake, clear headed and ready for the morning, a clear skies and colder morning taking the usual picture while walking to breakfast. The restaurant was dark, but the dining room area door was open and so turned on the lights, sat down and started reading the papers, the waitresses arriving soon after.
The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee this time. It's coming on Christmas, might as well indulge, finishing up by eight-thirty and setting out for home. I realized, when I looked at the pictures later, that I hadn't bothered to check to see if the gas prices had changed. They hadn't, but we're back to toddling along in our own little bubble, not really paying attention to half the things we've kept an eye on in the past. Not sure if I should be more than just a bit concerned with this or not. As long as it doesn't lead to more serious things such as not looking both ways at cross walks I would guess.
Anyway, home to post yesterday's anemic entry and then contemplate the rest of the day. I do need to go by that ATM I avoided yesterday and mail the Christmas tip to the fellow who delivers the morning papers. I'm late in doing this, but I was a paperboy once and remember that tips mattered. Better late than never.
Babble, babble.
Later. A bus to the Broadway ATM in the late morning, a swing by the construction sites on Webster and on Valdez. I wasn't sure when the return bus was due to come by on the weekend schedule, checked the printed schedule at the stop and figured I'd walk. Felt pretty good, better to get the walking in rather than sitting on a bench for ten minutes.
Home to process the three pictures I'd taken and then lie down to watch a Netflix series on the tablet. Sunny outside, the temperature in the mid-fifties, but no thought to go outside. Tired, a good night's sleep last night or not, we'll settle in with our usual solution.
Evening. Nothing to listen to on the radio on Saturday nights and so lights out early, just after nine.
