Week

Monday. Lights out early to awaken at ten minutes to six, early, but feeling pretty good on an overcast with wet sidewalks morning, walking to breakfast to find it not overly cold and arriving just before seven, the restaurant open. One other morning regular was reading her paper in the dining area, but fewer people than usual had arrived as the time passed.

The corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee this time, not sure the corned beef hash was the best choice today, but no complaints. Finished the papers by eight-thirty to find a light rain like mist outside. Not really rain, it's due later this afternoon, but water beads on the flowers, few if any people on bicycles or scooters in evidence, no scooters at all at the entrance to the Lakeview school.

Two pictures when I reached the apartment lobby, the first one in error, the second about right.

Crappy color and focus, though.

True, but that's what we got.

Later. I was thinking with no mail delivery today the stock market wouldn't be open. Reading about Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin's comments about talking with the largest bank CEO's earlier to confirm they had adequate reserves had made me wonder what effect it might have on the markets and so I wasn't surprised it had tanked, just surprised it had been open. There are such things as too “interesting times”. Well, we're due for an earthquake here, things could be worse, particularly since I live in an at risk building.

Where's this going.

Very rapidly nowhere.

Evening. Seems the rain blew through more rapidly than forecast. Still got quite a bit earlier, but it seems we're OK for the rest of the night and tomorrow morning, clear through the rest of the week.

Bells on Bob's tail ring.
