End

Thursday. Fell asleep fine to awaken then at five-thirty, blink a couple of times and then awake for good at ten minutes to six to get up, check the weather (not raining) and get ready to walk to breakfast under clear enough skies. A bit cold and so the watering eyes and nose acting up, but arriving to find the restaurant open and ready for business and so settled in with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast for no particular reason, the weight exactly on target on the scale this morning, to finish up and document the six cent drop in the price of regular. I haven't checked either of the two gas stations I'm aware of that are close by this station recently, but their price on regular has been running fifty cents a gallon higher than this one. That's a big difference, all three of these stations major brand stations. Fifty cents is surprising.

Back across the street to walk home passing a new flower in one of the planters on the sidewalk and a picture of the now empty Ford-Gobike rack. Had it been empty when I'd walked in? How did I miss that? On to the 580 Overpass, the Lime scooters by the lake and the pedestrians and geese by the lake before arriving home to take the selfie and settle in to finish and post yesterday's entry. Tired. Posted the thing and then lied down for about half an hour to listen to the radio and zone out until I was ready to continue. The blood pressure was normal, can't blame it on that.

Later. It's been overcast with no sign of rain, but still wasn't able to talk myself out the door to go anywhere, let alone do anything. Tired for a while and so lied down a couple of times to listen to the news on the radio. Long enough to get tired of hearing the same old stories over and over again.

Boo-hoo.

Well, yes. We do go on and on.

Evening. Thursday and so an episode of Vera at eight, watched it until they stopped for a fund raising break and decided I was tired enough to go to bed and left Vera and her crew to figure out who'd done the evil deed. I'd seen this episode in the past but, of course, had no idea how it came together at the end.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Oakland Holiday Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
