Tired
Friday. Awoke at a quarter to six and so took my time getting up and getting ready to head out to breakfast, exiting the building front door to find the sky clear, the air cold and half a dozen Amazon cardboard boxes hidden from the street behind a small wall beside a stairwell. Moved the boxes into the lobby, two of them addressed to me, deciding to move them up to the apartment when I got home.
On to the restaurant dressed against the cold. And it was cold. Arrived to find it had just opened and so entered through the front door, walked back to turn on the dining area lights and settled in with the papers. Cold out there, yes, but not all that warm in the restaurant either and so didn't remove the winter coat.
The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, taking more time than usual over the papers and so finishing up at nine to head home taking pictures of whatever called out: a bicycle that showed up while I was having breakfast, a lone Lime scooter someone had left in the middle of the sidewalk under the 580 Overpass, a line of Lyft scooters by the lake. A quick selfie in the lobby now running late.
Later. A bus at eleven this morning to Broadway, another bus to get the monthly blood thinner Protime test at the lab, arriving at eleven-thirty and finding no one waiting in line and so needle in and out pretty much just like that. Ran into a bus at the first stop I reached setting out on Broadway that arrived just as I arrived and so back to Grand to end up walking home, having missed the connecting bus literally by a minute. A good walk, not at all tired and arriving home just after noon, the deed done and behind me without any real effort.
Evening. Nothing I wanted to continue watching on the tablet, but stayed up to watch the beginning of Inspector Morse if only to keep me from going to bed too early. To no avail, turned off Morse and went to bed well before nine. Tired.
