Sleep

Monday. Lights out and to sleep not long after nine to awaken briefly twice in the early morning and then finally for good at a quarter to six, pretty much the routine these days. Got up, took the blood pressure (119/73) and set out walking to breakfast, dressed against the cold to include a pair of gloves this time. Not as cold as it's been these last several days, but the gloves were a good addition. Arrived before seven to find the restaurant open and so settled down at my table and started reading.

Thin papers on Mondays, all three together would have been the size of each one of them twenty years ago, so finished up well before nine to walk home under relatively clear skies (they're saying sun now for several days), taking a photo of the bicycle now leaning against a bicycle stand instead of sitting on the sidewalk upside down, a flower bud in the planter just beyond, more Lyft scooters by the lake and a selfie in the (smudged) lobby mirror. A decent walk, a decent start to the week.

Futzed briefly with yesterday's entry, one I'd actually finished yesterday, before posting. Not a bad day yesterday if memory serves.

“Good day, bad day”. You do ramble on with this.

Not to dwell, but it's nice when the head seems clear with a day still ahead.

Later. Listened to the news during the noon hour and then walked up to the construction site near my apartment to take some pictures to see what they'd been up to these last few days, to finding four men working on the foundations. So pictures. Interesting. Progress.

Back to the apartment to see if I could talk myself into going out again, the sun after all was bright, the temperature decent and I was hungry. A grilled chicken sandwich or a pint of strawberry ice cream? Neither seemed to have the strength to get me out there and so I watched an odd ball movie on the tablet.

Evening. Another get to bed early feeling tired, with lights out just after nine. I will say “tired” seems to lead pretty much right away to sleep.

The photo up top was taken of my Fender Telecaster in December 2013 with the Nikon D3s mounted with a 24-70mm f/2.8 G Nikkor lens..
